DEV505 / EXPLORE
Build your sound knowledge.
A practical reading path from one sound to a controlled, moving sound system.
Start with one audible sound, then add the behavior your game needs. Each guide explains the idea before the API details.
| What you want to do | Read next |
|---|---|
| Hear a sound in a new scene | Your first sound |
| Organize events and generate code names | Managers, libraries, and keys |
| Build a sound from one recording | Make your first sound graph |
| Understand event, play, voice, and handle | What happens when a sound plays? |
| Choose a surface or change volume/speed | Change sounds with parameters |
| Move a sound and manage its owner | Where a sound is, and who owns it |
| Stop a loop or pause your game audio | Stop, pause, and clean up |
| Trigger a horn or react to an ending | Ask for an action. Hear when it ends. |
| Fix a refused or silent play | When a sound does not start |
The examples use the supplied demo events and their generated Sounds.* keys. If you create your own graphs, regenerate keys and use the names and parameter types your graphs declare. The API reference gives exact signatures once you know the idea you need.
When something is unclear
Section titled “When something is unclear”Use the graph reference to look up a node, the outcome guide to interpret a result, and troubleshooting when the scene stays silent.
